Privacy
Your privacy, in plain English.
Money, Actually is designed to use as little personal information as reasonably possible.
Calculator information
You may enter financial figures such as balances, payments, income, spending or savings amounts to use the tools.
These figures are used to provide the calculations and experiences you request.
Some information may be temporarily retained in your browser/session so that Money, Actually can remember information between connected journeys.
Money, Actually does not currently require customers to create an account to use the core tools.
Analytics and technical information
When Money, Actually is published, the hosting/platform provider may process technical and usage information required to operate, secure and understand use of the service. This may include information such as device/browser information, usage information and similar technical data.
Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find Money, Actually and how our calculators are used — for example which calculators are started, which results are reached and whether the What If features are helpful.
Analytics is optional. The Google Analytics tag, and its cookies, only load after you accept analytics on the banner. Nothing is sent to Google before you accept, and declining never limits access to any calculator or feature.
The information collected is technical and usage information: the pages you visit (using safe route paths such as /tax), rough device and browser information, and general location such as your country. Google Analytics uses cookies, and identifiers it creates are not fully anonymous — Google may combine them with information from its other services, so we cannot promise that all analytics data is anonymous.
Your calculator financial inputs and results — such as salaries, tax codes, balances, interest rates and savings amounts — are not intentionally sent to Google Analytics, and we do not send names, email addresses or other directly identifying information.
You can decline analytics on the banner, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the website footer. Withdrawing stops further analytics and removes the Google Analytics cookies on this device where technically possible.
Google processes this information as a processor under Google’s own terms. You can read about how Google handles information at business.safety.google/privacy and in Google’s privacy policy.
Service providers
Money, Actually is currently built and hosted using Base44. Service providers may process information where necessary to provide hosting, security, analytics and related platform functionality.
Data sharing
Money, Actually does not sell customer information. Information may be processed by service providers where necessary to operate the website or where required by law.
Session recording
Money, Actually does not currently use session recording.
Third-party integrations
Money, Actually does not currently use third-party integrations to send calculator information to external marketing or CRM services.
Your choices
You can manage optional analytics at any time using Cookie settings in the website footer, and you can decline analytics when the consent banner first appears.
You can clear locally stored/session information, including calculator details, using your browser controls, or the Clear my information link in the website footer. Cookie settings and clearing your financial information are separate, independent actions.
